Lesson 22: Graphing Equations

This project illustrates the graphical representation of mathematical equations, in this case linear equations. It allows the user to enter the two parameters of the equation, and changes colors as a new curve is plotted. It allows easy expansion to represent more complex curves - parabolas, hyperbolas, ellipses, other polynomials, etc.

Scratch Activity:

Study the scripts (see the main script below) and recreate the program. Reproduce the actions in the tutorial. Experiment with angles and zero crossing for the lines.

Extensions:

Experiment drawing parallel lines at the same time.

Experiment with the speed, color and size of the drawings.

Experiment by adding sound effects when elements of the grid are crossed.
